Dodgers 1, Giants 0
Dioner Navarro homered and Clayton Kershaw struck out a season-high 12 in eight innings to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 1-0 victory over the host San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.
Navarro led off the seventh against Tim Lincecum by slamming the first homer into McCovey Cove by a visiting player this season as Los Angeles snapped a four-game losing streak.
Kershaw (11-4) gave up three hits and walked one while beating San Francisco for the third time this season. He fell one short of matching his career-best for strikeouts and has won nine of his last 10 decisions.
Kershaw struck out the side in the eighth before giving way to Javy Guerra, who pitched a perfect ninth for his sixth save.
Lincecum (8-8) gave up one run and five hits in seven-plus innings. He struck out seven and walked four.
Chris Stewart had two hits for the Giants, who lost for just the third time in 12 games.
The Dodgers had lost six straight games to the Giants, their longest skid about their bitter rivals since also losing six consecutive contests in 1969.
