Twins 6, Royals 0
Jason Repko drove in three runs to double his RBI total for the season and Brian Duensing tossed eight strong innings as the Minnesota Twins completed a four-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with a 6-0 road triumph on Sunday.
Matt Tolbert had a two-run triple and Luke Hughes scored twice for Minnesota, which outscored its American League Central rival by a 26-6 margin to improve to 4-3 on its 10-game road trip.
Making his 10th start of the season, Repko plated Alexi Casilla and Delmon Young with a two-run single in the first inning. He added an RBI single to left center in the sixth.
The offense was more than enough for Duensing (3-5), who snapped a five-game skid by scattering six hits and striking out four.
Matt Capps recorded the final three outs to preserve the victory.
Jeff Francis (2-6) surrendered four runs on six hits in seven innings to take the loss for Kansas City, which has dropped 12 of its last 15 games.
