Torii Hunter homered twice and drove in five runs, and prized prospect Mike Trout scored twice as the Los Angeles Angels recorded their sixth straight victory, 9-3 over the visiting Seattle Mariners on Saturday night.

Rookie Mark Trumbo belted a solo homer and Howard Kendrick extended his career-high hitting streak to 17 games for Los Angeles, which has won 18 of its last 24 overall.

Hunter belted a three-run homer in the third inning and a two-run shot in the fifth for his 10th and 11 homers of the season.

Joel Pineiro (5-3) allowed three runs on 10 hits in seven innings to collect his third straight win against his former club.

Miguel Olivo drove in two runs on a pair of hits and rookie Dustin Ackley had an RBI single for Seattle, which has lost four in a row overall and 15 of its last 17 on the road against the Angels.

Rookie Michael Pineda (8-6) permitted seven runs on six hits in five innings to suffer his fourth loss in six decisions.
