Angels 1, Mariners 0 (10)
Vernon Wells' single drove in Torii Hunter in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Los Angeles Angels snapped the Seattle Mariners' three-game winning streak with a 1-0 victory Friday.
Jordan Walden (3-3) earned the win after pitching a scoreless 10th in relief of Jered Weaver, who rebounded from his first loss in more than two months with nine dominant innings.
Weaver struck out eight - all in the first four innings - and gave up seven hits. He logged his 15th straight quality start to move ahead of Frank Tanana for the longest streak in a season by an Angels pitcher.
Mariners starter Jason Vargas, who was riding a five-game losing streak, gave up seven hits over six innings.
After Hunter singled to start the 10th, he moved to second on a wild pitch before Wells singled to shallow left-center field off Dan Cortes (0-1).
Seattle's Trayvon Robinson, making his major league debut, singled in the sixth for his first career hit. He also robbed Hunter of a home run with an impressive catch at the left-field wall in the third.
