Mariners 5, Angels 1
Trayvon Robinson hit his first major league home run and rookie Blake Beavan threw a career-high eight innings to lead the Seattle Mariners to a rare 5-1 victory over Los Angeles at Angel Stadium on Saturday.
Beavan (3-2) gave up one run on eight hits and didn't walk a batter in his sixth major league start as Seattle won for only the third time in its last 20 games at Angel Stadium.
Adam Kennedy doubled home two runs with two outs in the first off Tyler Chatwood (6-8), who allowed five runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings.
Robinson homered with one out in the seventh in his second major league game. He was called up from Triple A Tacoma on Friday after being acquired from the Dodgers at the trade deadline.
Bobby Wilson doubled in a run in the seventh for the Angels, who lost at home for only the fifth time in their last 21 games.
