Freddy Sanchez delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the San Francisco Giants rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Friday.
Sanchez’s hit scored Cody Ross, who opened the inning with a double off Felipe Paulino (0-2).
Brian Wilson (1-1) earned the win after throwing a scoreless ninth.
Troy Tulowitzki hit his 100th career home run, and Ubaldo Jimenez allowed one run and two hits in six innings. Jimenez, who entered the game with a 7.20 ERA, walked five, struck out seven and threw 118 pitches.
Giants starter Matt Cain gave up three runs on five hits and struck out four over seven innings.
Tulowitzki blasted his eighth homer of the season in the second, and Colorado scored twice in the third on Jonathan Herrera’s RBI single and a Carlos Gonzalez sacrifice fly.
The Giants scored in the sixth on a Buster Posey groundout before Nate Schierholtz tied the game in the eighth with a two-run double.
