Giants 3, Rockies 2

Mike Fontenot’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the San Francisco Giants a 3-2 victory over the visiting Colorado Rockies on Saturday for their second walk-off win in as many days.

The Giants, who won Friday’s series opener on Freddy Sanchez’s single, opened the ninth with singles by Aaron Rowand and Sanchez off Felipe Paulino (0-3).

Both runners advanced on a wild pitch by Franklin Morales, and Rowand scored on Fontenot’s deep fly to right field.

Brian Wilson (2-1) earned the win for San Francisco, which improved to 4-1 against Colorado.

Clayton Mortensen gave up one earned run on four hits and four walks over six innings in his first start for the Rockies.

Giants starter Madison Bumgarner struck out five and allowed an earned run over six innings.

The Rockies left the bases loaded in the top of the eighth when Javier Lopez induced a Todd Helton ground ball. Colorado was 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
