Twins 4, White Sox 1

Carl Pavano earned a complete-game victory for the second time in three starts to lead the host Minnesota Twins to a 4-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.

The Twins have won 10 of their last 12 games.

Pavano (4-5) scattered six hits and three walks, and kept the White Sox off the board except for an RBI single by Brent Morel in the sixth inning. He allowed only one other runner past second base and finished with five strikeouts.

Alexi Casilla opened Minnesota's three-run third inning with an RBI double to right field and Delmon Young's two-run single made it 3-0. Danny Valencia capped the scoring with an RBI single in the eighth.

Gavin Floyd (6-6) allowed four runs on 11 hits in eight innings.
