Twins 8, White Sox 5
Luke Hughes' three-run homer capped a six-run fourth inning and propelled the visiting Minnesota Twins to an 8-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.
Nick Blackburn (7-6) beat the White Sox for the third time this season
despite giving up five runs on 10 hits in five innings. Four different
Minnesota relievers held Chicago to one hit over the final four innings
as the Twins improved to 6-0 against the White Sox this season.
Adam Dunn's two-run homer helped the White Sox build a 5-1 cushion in the first, but the Twins fought back in the fourth against Chicago starter Gavin Floyd (6-9). Michael Cuddyer singled in a run and Rene Tosoni had a two-run single before Hughes' blast off Will Ohman.
Cuddyer also had an RBI single in the first.
Floyd (6-9) failed to escape the fourth, and allowed seven runs on nine hits.
Paul Konerko and Alex Rios each doubled home a run for the White Sox.
