Diamondbacks 4, Dodgers 1
Daniel Hudson homered and drove in three runs while tossing his second career complete game, leading the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.
Hudson (10-5) posted his seventh straight winning decision by allowing just one run and five hits. He struck out three and threw 114 pitches.
Ryan Roberts also homered for Arizona, which has won two straight since a three-game skid.
Hudson, who hasn't lost since May 12, would have had his first career shutout if not for a wild pitch that allowed a run to score in the seventh. He made up for it by plating a pair of runs with a seeing-eye single to left field in the bottom half of the inning, giving the Diamondbacks a 4-1 lead.
The best hitting pitcher in baseball went 2-for-3, raising his average to .359. He now has 12 RBIs in 39 at-bats.
Already in command on the hill, Hudson gave the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead when he ripped a 1-1 fastball from Ted Lilly (6-10) barely over the left-field wall in the sixth.
