Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 4
Rod Barajas capped a six-run third inning with a two-run double and also homered to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 7-4 victory over the host Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.
Barajas hit his 10th homer in the eighth as the Dodgers won for the third time in four games and handed Arizona its second straight defeat.
The Dodgers sent 10 batters to the plate in the third. Andre Ethier had a run-scoring double, and Matt Kemp and Juan Rivera each had RBI singles.
Dodgers starter Chad Billingsley (10-9) gave up three runs and seven hits, and was removed after the first four hitters reached base in the seventh. The threat ended when Justin Upton lined into a double play with the bases loaded against Mike MacDougal.
Javy Guerra got the final four outs for his 10th save.
Arizona got on the board in the sixth on Chris Young’s sacrifice fly. The Diamondbacks posted two runs in the seventh on singles by Gerardo Parra and Willie Bloomquist.
Casey Blake had three of Los Angeles’ 11 hits.
