Orioles 4, Blue Jays 3

Ryan Adams collected his first major-league RBI with a single in the ninth inning as the Baltimore Orioles posted their first win in 17 games in Canada with a 4-3 triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday.

J.J. Hardy belted a solo homer and extended his hitting streak to nine games while Vlad Guerrero added an RBI double for Baltimore.

With the score tied at 2-2 in the ninth, Jon Rauch (2-3) promptly put runners on the corners following a pair of singles. Derrek Lee plated Nolan Reimold with an infield single to drive Rauch from the game, and Adams added a single to center to score Felix Pie.

Jason Berken (1-2) was credited with the win after tossing two scoreless innings. Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie left after five innings with a strained back.

Adam Lind belted his third homer in as many days to lead off the ninth, but Kevin Gregg retired the next three hitters to secure his 13th save of the season.

Jose Bautista had a two-run single in the sixth inning and Zach Stewart tossed seven strong frames in his major-league debut for Toronto.
