Orioles 6, Blue Jays 2

Adam Jones set a career high with his 20th homer of the season, a three-run blast that lifted the host Baltimore Orioles past the Toronto Blue Jays 6-2 Saturday night.

Toronto starter Brandon Morrow (8-6) threw five perfect innings before unravelling in the fateful sixth. Trailing 2-0, Baltimore's Nolan Reimold broke up the perfect game bid with a leadoff single and eventually came around to score after Yunel Escobar booted a routine grounder off the bat of Ronnie Andino.

Two batters later, Jones belted a Morrow pitch over the right-field scoreboard for his second homer in as many games. That gave the Orioles a 4-2 lead, and Baltimore wasn't challenged the rest of the way.

The rally made a winner out of Chris Tillman (3-4), who allowed two runs over seven innings to earn his first major-league victory since May 11.

Morrow was tagged for six runs - three earned - on four hits over 7 2/3 frames.

Colby Rasmus homered in defeat, his first since joining Toronto at the trade deadline.
